hi, wondering why field cost_price on variant is not readonly when choosing average cost_price method ? Because if you set any value on the cost_price, it's updated when you recompute cost price... feature ?

Like that you can set a initial value or correct the computed one.

Indeed it is forbidden to change it when such changes may have impact
and that moves have already been registered.
Example: if the account_stock* modules are installed.

Yes but normally, if you change the cost price, you will probably also
change it on some stock moves.
